Unit 3 Turbine of APSCL tripped at 02.08 hours on 13th May 2008 due to failure of thrust bearing and Rotor axially shifted toward control side. APSCL own Engineers opened the unit 3 Turbine to find out the problem and repair the turbine. After 85 days tremendous effort given by APSCL own Engineers and Technicians for completing the repair and commissioning, the Unit started on 8th August 2008 and successfully synchronized the Unit at 2:30 AM on 9th August. It is now running on 50 MW load. All employee and Management are showing their gratefulness to the brave heart Engineers and Technicians for successfully repair and startup. It’s a great achievement of APSCL and a milestone of APSCL success history.
